This forecast uses high-resolution, site-specific Met Office DataHub output for Teignmouth.
The data is updated hourly and includes temperature, wind, precipitation, cloud, visibility and other key parameters from the UKV model.
These values are processed automatically and presented here in a clear, local-context format to help you plan your day, whether you're heading to the seafront, tending the garden, or watching weather roll in from Dartmoor.
The table above shows hourly forecast data summarising conditions over the previous hour.
It includes temperature, wind, precipitation, visibility, UV index, snow depth (between October and April) and more.
Daily maximum and minimum temperatures are also shown alongside the 1991-2020 Teignmouth monthly averages, giving an indication of whether temperatures are above or below normal for the time of year.
The table also includes several derived variables:
- Brolly? - an estimate of how likely you are to need an umbrella, based on the 3-hour precipitation probability and expected shower intensity.
- Outdoor Drying - an estimate of how well laundry will dry outside, based on air temperature, humidity, precipitation and wind speed. Assumes the washing is not in direct sun.
- Clothing - a simple suggestion of suitable clothing based on mean air temperature, wind speed and the feels-like effect. Assumes you are in shade and not doing strenuous activity.
- Mugginess (Humidity Comfort) - a comfort measure based on dew point, indicating how humid the air actually feels. Higher dew points reduce the body's ability to cool itself, making warm days feel muggy or oppressive even when relative humidity appears moderate.
